Welcome to Friends Day

What a great day this is to worship God together with Friends we love so dear! We are very glad that you have chosen to worship God with us today. Some of you have done so as a result of an invitation from a friend. We welcome you and simply ask that you give worship to God with us and enjoy continued fellowship with our meal together following worship.

Friends are so important in our lives. We all need someone to rejoice with us, cry with us, and to enjoy life together as well. Thank you for being the friend you are to your friends. Keep on striving to be there for each other, and I want to encourage us all to help and encourage one another as friends to follow the Lord Jesus Christ, who is the way, the truth, and the life showing us the way home to the Father that we may all be together as friends for eternity in heaven too. (John 14:6)

This morning is our worship to God, we will focus on how we can be God’s friend in our lives today. I hope and pray that we will each be motivated to give ourselves to developing true friendship with God as Peter taught us in his first inspired letter. Being God’s friend gives us that relationship with Him through Jesus which will assure us of a place in that home in heaven Jesus has prepared and will give to His friends when He returns. (John 14:1-3)

As you go forth through the week ahead keep striving to focus on heaven remembering “If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God.” Look forward to seeing you in our worship this evening as we focus on “Finding Hope and Courage in Christ.” God bless you.
